CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Our desire is to present the children of HSB with the full Word of God. We want them to know love, and obey the One who loves them, walks beside them, has a plan for them and wants a relationship with them."

Will you join us in growing up the next generation for Christ? We are looking for men and women of all ages who are excited to partner with our parents and influence the spiritual journey of the kids in our body. What will you do this coming year to make a difference in the lives of kids here at HSB?

Horizon SouthBay has your child's best interest at heart, which is why we carefully screen all volunteers who work with children. We are always looking for caring people interested in sharing the love of Jesus Christ with children.

At HSB, we require everyone who works with children and students to fill out a volunteer application and go through a background check. If you are a new volunteer, please fill out the appropriate form below.

Children's Ministry Application Background Check Form

Nursery - Interact and spend time with babies, little tots, or toddlers while building community with fellow volunteers.

Preschool - Develop relationships with 3-5 year olds as they discover the stories of the Bible and enjoy fun activities.

Kindergarten/1st grade Teacher - Lead children in their first small group experience; develop relationships through guided conversation and activities that point to God.

2nd/3rd grade or 4th/5th grade Teacher - Come with a willing spirit and a yielded heart and allow the Lord to speak through you to His children.

Children with Special Needs - Become a one to one "buddy" each Sunday with a special needs child who needs assistance.

Substitute - All the curriculum is provided and commitment will not exceed one time per month

Children's Church - Serve once a month when all age groups come together for a fun time of worship, learning, crafts and games.

do a Family Worship Night via YouTube
each family member picks their favorite song
search for the song title on YouTube with lyrics and sing along

spend time in prayer as a family
choose 3 people in the church to pray for each night

read a Bible story every night
our family loves the The One Year Bible for Children

Classes
Grades 2-5  Sundays 9:30 am

Children's Ministry needs people who have a desire to pour into our youth
The Lord has given us the opportunity to plant seeds in the hearts of precious children at HSB
What is required is a willing heart, yielded to the Holy Spirit as He leads in teaching His kids
Help is needed at all levels: Preschool, Kinder/1st, 2nd/3rd and 4th/5th
